I've added 2 new video's to the "How to video's" tab at the top of this page.

Every since this tutorial hit other websites, people have been asking for a Capri Sun tutorial.

My wish is your command.

What a great Weekend!

This is how he spent the majority of his weekend at home.
Our beautiful view (and not so beautiful building top)
 again.........
The comforting view we had driving E back to the facility.

Ranch Or Italian Potatoes

You'll need:
1 stick of butter (y'all)
2 cans of petite diced potatoes
1 packet of dry Italian dressing or Ranch dressing
(we've used both and both are great)
 melt your sick of butter
-drain and rinse two cans of potatoes (you can use fresh potatoes that are pre-cooked, but the canned ones are just fine) and easier.
-add the potatoes to the melted butter
-add the packet of dry dressing to the butter and potatoes (if you use Ranch, use the entire packet as well)
The potatoes just need to get hot and coated well, and their done.
YUMMY!

Selvage Edge Blocks

I think I've finally found a way to sew selvage edge's.
When I first started sewing and saving selvage edge's, I only cut off the edge, not any of the fabric.
I've since learned you have to take some of the fabric as well.
I've sewed them onto a paper block and went from there adding more edges.
I have to say, I'm quite pleased with the results.
I made 6 5" x 5" blocks in no time.

This is ME Challenge

If you click on the above picture, it will take you to her blog.

This is the coolest thing.  A very in depth series of questions.   At first I was going to write them down in a journal and answer them that way.  Then I remembered how terrible my hand writing is.  So, I'm doing mine in word and moving some headers and such around, adding a few pictures and making it my own.  I'll then print it and cover the pages with page protectors or something to protect the pages and then bind it.  Maybe take it to Staples and let them spiral bind it.

I've asked my husband if he would do one as well.  We could even bind our together, not sure about that part yet.
I'm really hoping my mom gets on board with this.  She's a very private person and I'm not so sure she'll want to do this.  Cause, I'd really be interested in reading hers.

Remember what your MOM taught you!

NO, this isn't a Mother's Day post.
(but, Happy Mother's Day)

I'm going to go on a little rant.

My Ramen Noodle Coin purse has been featured here and there and everywhere.
And I love that.
However; someone is featuring it now and I have no idea who, but I can tell cause i'm getting tons of comments.
Whoever is featuring it draws in a whole different kind of readers cause the comments are rude and mean.
I've deleted them, cause I don't want people that like the tutorial to see that.
I just don't understand.
And all of the comments come from anonymous or no-reply and I can't reply back to these meanies people of what I'd really like to say.
So, just remember what your MOM taught you....

IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL

I know from time to time, we all get these mean comments.
I guess I was raised different.  I could never leave a mean comment, if I don't like the tutorial or item, I just move on.  It's easier and makes my conscious feel a lot better.

(disclaimer: having a rough mother's day today, missing my e)

Mushu's Favorite Commercial

Oh Mushu...how you love this commercial.
I have him in my purse so I'm certain he goes with me everywhere.
I kept noticing when I looked that way, he would pop back down into my purse.
As if he was playing hide and seek with me.
But, he wasn't.  He would pop out when this commercial comes on, then go back when it went off.
Silly Mushu.

Has Spencer seen this commercial yet?

Paper Pieced House

I was itching for some paper pieced sewing.
So, after searching my blocks that I had bookmarked or "pinned", this one spoke to me the most.
Here's the link for the House Block.

I used scraps in this block.  Hopefully, I'll make a few more...maybe enough for a hanging,
or maybe a welcome hanging for the door.  Not sure yet.
I noticed the colors are a little off in this picture.
Could be our super cloudy, rainy day.

TJ & E from our visit this weekend.
They played putt-putt and I kept score. Their showing me their score, TJ with 3 and E with 5
It was very hot and humid (which just makes me swell even more).
It was a great trip/visit.
E enjoyed putt putt, go-kart racing, tons of video games and some bowling.
Here's me and E.  I'm super swollen.  Though I've lost 31 lbs, I can't prove it in this picture.
The Dr. has changed up my fluid pills a bit, and it really made me miserable for a few days.
Hopefully, I'm getting back on track.  I have about 10 lbs of fluid on now........We had a good day.

Once we got home, TJ crashed out at 6pm, and I went to bed at 8pm....we were beat.  It's been awhile since we have been out in the heat most of the day.

Off to make more houses, or who knows......maybe even get a nap in.

Update on Crayon Art

Someone asked for a tutorial link.
I looked it up on Youtube.
Watched several different videos and then came up with my own plan.
However; I didn't do anything drastically different than all the videos stated.
Normally, I'm pretty good about seeing something and then figuring out how to do it.
Except anything to do with yarn, knitting or crocheting.

Crayon Art

This was a Pinterest find.
So many things on there I want to make.

One down, a million to go.

I love how this turned out, and it's now hanging in E's room.

Mushu &..........Peas & Carrots

Mushu has found a home (for now, or for that time being.  He has since moved.)
He was rest against my peas & carrots blocks.  He begged me not to move the blocks, saying if I did he would fall over.  I assure him, if he fell; he would be just fine.  And he was.  Bless his heart!
I assembled those blocks to make this rag quilt.
I wanted it just a tad bigger, so I used some the backing fabric to frame the outside of the quilt.
I love the back.  So crinkly.
This was 3 charm packs of 29 charm squares each of
Peas & Carrots
by American Jane Patterns Sandy Klop for Moda
I love American Jane.
Here are 3 finished quilts for my Project Linus Chapter I did this weekend.
The middle one someone sent to me as a completed quilt top and I finished it from there.
The other two I pieced with a jelly roll.
